A C N E

If you love fashion and blogs, you would know that tumblr is the place to find inspiration when you can no longer gain inspiration from anywhere else. It's a one stop shop for your eyes to gaze upon what really is in and what is out. However, I too have grown a love/hate relationship with tumblr. Whenever you want to know what sweddish blog 'that' photo came from, you hit a dead end because some tween has removed its source. It becomes quite frustrating... sigh. Or if you simply want to know where the hell it's from. Tumblr is far too easy for sources to become ghosts but I won't argue that it's a great way to gain exposure, especially if your photography is aesthetically pleasing.

Rant aside, I want to talk about this shoe. It has been haunting me in dreams, popping up EVERYWHERE on tumblr and possibly every single international blog I follow on a daily basis. So what brand you may ask this shoe is by... well it's none other than the Swedish brand, Acne. To me and possibly every single fashionista out there, Acne is the overpriced basics brand that never ever fails to make you drool and question whether or not $500 is worth spending on a basic shirt. Ok maybe overpriced is little harsh but for a student budget, owning one piece by Acne will only exist in my dreams or on my tumblr feed.

Anyways this is Acne's new line of Spring/Summer shoes and it comes in two other colours. Acne also
never fails with their colour palette, it's always easy on the eye, making them the easiest brand to wear with anything.

The Swedes have done it again with their sleek yet sophisticated style. Always very clean yet their name seems to state otherwise. (terrible joke)

R O S E Y G O L D.

(source: frichic)

These babies have been on my wishlist for quite some time. A few years ago high end jewellers made some exquisite rose gold jewellery and finally it has now been translated to shoes. Not only are the clasps rose gold BUT THE HEEL has been adorned with a metallic finish. Oh what more could you want for the perfect shoe for Spring. Topshop you never cease to impress us. How I wish you would bring Topshop to Sydney. Please? Pretty please? With a cherry on top?

Unfortunately ladies... They are sold out. Everywhere. Period. Na-da. No more.

It makes me want to cry...

I'll keep dreaming

LADIES I HAVE JUST BEEN INFORMED BY A LOVELY READER THAT THESE BABIES ARE STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU TROLL EBAY! :)

S P I K E D.

Found this while scrolling through the nightmare of a folder I have created and appropriately named 'Inspirations'. This photo was too good not to share. It basically depicts how crazy fashion has become over the past year. It's got a hint of lady gaga and I love it. Going overboard with every possible novelty item you would find at a craft shop and shoving it on a typical nude pump is the way to go this season. Pump up the crazy and add a little bit more glam into your wardrobe. Who said fashion needed to be played safe?

p.s. I'll upload more of my floor outfits soon. Lots more to show you and tune in for more updates on my journey towards my fashion career. Lots and lots to show! Stay tuned! :)

F E E T F E T I S H.

These beauties are the current shoes I've been wearing to everything. Literally, everything - to work, to uni, to the shops, to the cross/clubs, but not the beach (obviously). This is probably the most comfortable set of shoes I've purchased over my entire life. I seem to be incapable of buying comfortable shoes for my feet UNTIL THIS YEAR! Even the ones with heels are comfortable... yes really ladies, some heels are comfortable. The JC litas at the end... I ran in those. YES I RAN!

The line up includes:

1. Leopard Print Loafers - Wandering Souls

2. Black Suede Loafers - Rubi

3. Patent Brogues - Random store

4. Dacey Zip Boots - Wandering Souls

5. Cher Strappy Wedges - Therapy

6. Litas - Jeffrey Campbell

Anyways these have been my shoe essentials for the past 8 months and I don't plan on getting any more! How weird is that? I'm usually a sucker for shoes but lately I just haven't found that I need any. Seriously that is a first... My boyfriend should be proud of this haha.

If I get another pair of shoes in the next month, you guys will be the firs to know ha! That is if I cave... I really hope I don't! *fingers crossed*

H O U S E O F D I S N E Y.

Who doesn't love a bit of disney, especially when it's imprinted on your clothing! HA, it's INGENIUS! Bringing a bit of your childhood back with pizzaz. This lovely lady above is rockin' the 60s flippy skirt with a pop-eye the sailor the man sweater. YUM!

What's even more yum are her shoes. If possible I would take them from my screen and and bring them to life for my feet to enjoy. Look at that print, how impossibly awesome is it? It's perfect for pattern clashing this winter!

Disney, I loved your movies as a child and now as an adult, I have once again fallen in love. I mean you made my fav disney characters into fashionable pieces (not the tacky souvenier t-shirts you find at disneyland lol).

There are more pieces but I'll show you lovelies this one... it's my favourite combination :).

I hope you love it as much as I do! If not, go watch some disney and come back to me.

S U M M E R S H O E U P D A T E.

My shoe wishlist for this summer is a bit on the wintery side but I'm lacking flat shoes. I have way too many heels but who says I can't have an extra pair... or two. I just have to decide now which ones are worth truly buying... hahah oh the fun! :)

Tony Bianco Summer '11 Collection
Model: Bambi
Photographer: Bec Parsons

Holy moly, I am so excited about this summer! Listening to The Kooks - Matchbox with blue skies everywhere and the warm sun in my face, while I get to stare at Tony Bianco's summer collection.... ahhh summer oh how I have missed you. I CAN FINALLY WEAR SKIRTS AGAIN WITHOUT FEELING SOOO COLD! WOOOOO!!!! But the bonus for this season is that mix and matching colour isn't a sin or a no no anymore. Pink and blue? Why not! Bambi certainly is pulling it off well.

I'm already planning my summer wardrobe... Hmmm my boyfriend won't be too happy hahaha. So much choice and colour. I'M SO EXCITED! Honestly... I feel like a little girl again. Less black, greys, browns but lots and lots and lots and lots of blue, reds, pinks, greens, yellows, purples... the list goes on but I think what I really have my eyes on is Tony Biancos' emerald suede Kortina. The colour is extraordinary and the shape... it's the iconic and loved shape done by Giuseppe Zanotti a few seasons ago, yet still very wearable :).

Here is the shoe:

sorry for the lack of quality in the photos :(. Oh and did you see the lace shirt bambi was wearing in the last photo.... Hmm some DIY inspiration right there. Anyways the reason for my lack of outfit posts which were ready to go, is that my SD card is lost. It decided to leave me.. jokes. My boyfriend lost it sigh!  Anyways I'll try my best to find it and retrieve some last minute winter shots! Lots of burgundy and denim so stay tuned!!

Carvela Grass - Platform Peep Toe Wedge

Oh my god, I finally found a copy of Giuseppe Zanotti's beauuutiffuuulll wedges from his collection earlier this year. I think I literally cried when I saw how much they costed but now ASOS SAVES THE DAY!!! I found this baby on ASOS for literally 10 times less than what Giuseppe Zanotti is charging. I really really want to buy them but my bank account and my boyfriend might get annoyed lol. My ever expanding shoe collection is getting worse. So far on my wanted shoe list includes Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony boots, Sam Edelman's Zoe, Jessica Simpson's Dany Platforms, Acne's Atomica, Jeffrey Campbell's Mariel, ROC Leopard Wedges, Theysken's Theory Velvet Wedges and the list goes on and on and on... there's more but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Anyways I'm just glad I found a cheaper version of Giuseppe Zanotti's wedges. I actually can't wait till my pay day comes around so I can buy these babies! BUTTTT first on my wishlist is actually Sam Edelman's Zoe and JC's Mariels!!!!! ARGHHH NEED MONEY :(

Hope everyone else is fairing better than me in the shoe department but for now, goodnight!

Christian Louboutin - Rollerball Loafers

Yay or Nay? Christian Louboutin recently released these studded loafers and it's been given some mix messages but they are pretty swanky I must admit. They certainly catch your eye with the amount of armour you'd have on your feet. I'm thinking they are the next best thing for stabbing sleezeballs and seedy men on a saturday night after sky high stiletto heels. Jokes... I'm an angel I would never do such a thing...

Honestly they could potentially hurt someone too! However... I they're a nice change from the hipster brown loafers I see regularly. There is still one issue. The price tag of $995. Hmmm... my wallet might think twice before purchasing it, yet I would love to own something designed by Christian Louboutin. But for now, I'll settle for a copied version by Matiko or Jeffrey Campbell. Check 'em out! They look practically the same minus the signature red soles.

Jeffrey Campbell - Elegant Stud Loafers
Matiko - Leila Loafers

Hmmm I'm wanting me some loafers. Flat shoes are a must in a wardrobe or else you'll end up with Victoria Beckham feet... lol. Enjoy guys! :)

Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony

Jeffrey Campbell - Detention Boots
There will always be copy cats in the world. People who know that making a copy at a cheaper price will reel in all kinds of fashionistas, especially the ones who miss out. Well don't fret ladies, I found the alternative. The alternative to the coveted Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony boots. The ones that I nearly cried over because they were so goddamn expensive! SO YAY Jeffrey Campbell finally created his version :). Aren't you all happy now? PLUS IT'S LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE WOOOO!!! Yay for me since my bank account literally hates me right now and I probably only have a few dollars to my name... :(

Unfortunately the main difference between the two shoes is the thickness of the platform and heel. BUT I doubt anyone will really notice plus the JC version looks just as great...

Ohhh and look at Sam Edelman's version of Balenciaga's Harness Booties from their AW06 Collection.

One has a near $2000 price tag while the other is 10 times cheaper... hmmm I think I'll go with Sam Edelman ONCE MY BANK ACCOUNT REPLENISHES :(.

Anyways off to bed for me... Uni has started and it's just a joy waking up at 7am again. Not.

Haus of Price - Mega Bootie

Check these bad boys out. If you wanna be a walking disco ball these are the shoe for you. Man I can't imagine how long it took to glue all those sequins and gems down. But man oh man would I like to be strutting my stuff in these around the city. They are the ultimate party shoes hahaha. (okay maybe a little exaggerated) BUT SERIOUSLY they look so.... so.... over the top, I love it! But if I did end up wearing them... I'm afraid people might think I'm a tranny :(. Hmmm.... lol.

Or you could still have the bling but minus the tranny look with the massive chunk of a wedge and opt for a classic stiletto.

Haus of Price - Multi Gem Pump

Enjoy! Hopefully one person has disco balls on their feet sometime next week! IF YOU DO SEND ME A PICTURE! I'd love to see how it looks :)

Jeffrey Campbell - Zoomie Wedge in Fuchsia

Currently I'm attempting to cram for my accounting finals tomorrow but procrastination, blogspot and Jeffrey Campbell shoes have gotten the better of me. So to get my stress out of my system I'm going to show you a little new find. These JC 'Zoomie' Fuchsia Wedges... Omg they are so purrrdddyyy (loving the name - 'Zoomie'). They kind of remind me of Robin Hood and his men - If I lived back in that time I would definitely strut around in those shoes doing good deeds.

As I stare at this shoe... I realise how much time has elapsed and how UTTERLY screwed I am for my exams. YAY! :(

So I'll leave you all to drool over these beauties with some awesome party/studying vid I came across a few weeks ago. Ohhh how it captures uni life! Cramming = the only way uni students truly study... (kind of depressing in all honesty)

Anyways BACK TO STUDYING!
