P A S T E L S.

So here is what I wore yesterday when Sydney finally gave us some sunshine. However AJ and I were so preoccupied with enjoying the sun that we sort of missed the sun to take some photos of my outfit which AJ dubbed as "cute". HA! I haven't dressed in that manner for quite some years. But I couldn't resist wearing this beautiful baby pink suede skirt by The Cassette Society and my new pastel green beanie!

You can clearly tell I'm dreaming of spring with subtle colours but I was so ecstatic about the sun I added leopard print loafers. It worked. Really it did. Well in my books but if it isn't your cup of tea thats okay. I still got called cute :).

So the trend report for Spring Summer 12/13, if you haven't already trolled the internet and other bloggers, is that pastels are refreshing and extremely in. It's definitely not Spring down under but for everyone else who does have the luxury of warmer weather, take advantage of pretty pinks, baby blues and soft greens to compliment your new tan and bare legs.

Have fun mixing things up this season with prints and pastels. Yum.

S U I T U P.

(Aqua Blazer - Bardot, Aqua Shorts - Myth Conception, Lace Collared Shirt - Valleygirl, Gold Choker - Collette, Leopard Print Loafers - Wandering Souls)

As Barney Stinson would say, "Suit Up Gentlemen!" Well in this case ladies as well. Here's a little twist on the typical suit set. Add a splash of colour or in my instance my favourite colour this spring, aqua. Cannot get enough of it. It's strong on the eyes but not girly in any way. I guess that's why I like it. It's sophisticated, hits the spot on the trend radar and not too girly. This Summer/Spring and Autumn/Winter seasons we will be seeing heaps of suit combinations especially with print clashes but for me I love a simple clean cut, one tone two piece suit. However, in all fairness it didnt actually come as a set. I just found the two and they happened to magically be the same shade of aqua. Lucky me!

To break up the strong colour palette, I added a simple white lace collared shirt and a gold choker and I was set. But it was still missing something. Something that would make the outfit complete yet a little bit quirky but obviously still retaining the 'ann vibe' (ha!).

I remember the first time I wore those leopard print loafers, one of my friends (Rose H.) went mad over the fact that I started liking leopard print. Leopard print plus loafers, she thought I had gone bananas. Too bad rose, they're staying in my collection for quite some time!

I hope you guys enjoyed my rendition of the traditional suit.

F E E T F E T I S H.

These beauties are the current shoes I've been wearing to everything. Literally, everything - to work, to uni, to the shops, to the cross/clubs, but not the beach (obviously). This is probably the most comfortable set of shoes I've purchased over my entire life. I seem to be incapable of buying comfortable shoes for my feet UNTIL THIS YEAR! Even the ones with heels are comfortable... yes really ladies, some heels are comfortable. The JC litas at the end... I ran in those. YES I RAN!

The line up includes:

1. Leopard Print Loafers - Wandering Souls

2. Black Suede Loafers - Rubi

3. Patent Brogues - Random store

4. Dacey Zip Boots - Wandering Souls

5. Cher Strappy Wedges - Therapy

6. Litas - Jeffrey Campbell

Anyways these have been my shoe essentials for the past 8 months and I don't plan on getting any more! How weird is that? I'm usually a sucker for shoes but lately I just haven't found that I need any. Seriously that is a first... My boyfriend should be proud of this haha.

If I get another pair of shoes in the next month, you guys will be the firs to know ha! That is if I cave... I really hope I don't! *fingers crossed*
