M I N T .

Sorry for being a little MIA lately, I left my camera with all the lovely photos at my boyfriend's place. Upsetting, I know, however I can now show you how lovely Sydney's weather has been. I had to take advantage of it so we had a little bit of fun. Next time I'll take some pictures of the places we go to especially when we go for weekend bike rides. Anyways this is what I've been sporting for the past few days because I'm so happy the sun is out and the skirt just puts a smile on my face. The colour is, honestly, I-R-R-E-S-I-S-T-A-B-L-E!

(AllAboutEve Crop Grey Knit, Zara Studded Collar Shirt, Alive Girl Mint Circle Skirt, ROC Combat Boots, ASOS Ankle Cuffs, Colette Bracelets, ASOS and Market Rings, Agent Ninety Nine Beanie, Persol Sunglasses)The colour mint has hit the world by storm. Not only are pastels the new colours for colour blocking but mint, I would say, has been crowned King of all. It literally goes with everything, but most fashionistas are opting for the safe route and teaming it with pretty baby pinks. I'm not saying it's bad, just maybe a little on the safe side but it definitely does the trick. Everything this spring is incredibly feminine highlighted by the colour palette chosen by the best designers and fashionistas out there.

OH and do you like my make shift ankle cuffs? I was trying to emulate this look!

Time for me to get back to some good ol' online shopping!

S U N N Y

Just thought I'd share how beautiful the skies were on the weekend when AJ and I went for a bike ride. I had to capture how warm the day where there wasn't a cloud in sight. It put a big fat smile on my face. Ahhh you can't beat a nice sunny winter afternoon.

An outfit post will be up tomorrow. Sorry no gifs today :(.

But here's a couple of photos of a few friends I caught up with. Yes they are embarrassing! But I love them all :)

Here's a little sneak peek of my outfit! Yummm. Mint Skirts!

More tomorrow.

R O S E Y G O L D.

(source: frichic)

These babies have been on my wishlist for quite some time. A few years ago high end jewellers made some exquisite rose gold jewellery and finally it has now been translated to shoes. Not only are the clasps rose gold BUT THE HEEL has been adorned with a metallic finish. Oh what more could you want for the perfect shoe for Spring. Topshop you never cease to impress us. How I wish you would bring Topshop to Sydney. Please? Pretty please? With a cherry on top?

Unfortunately ladies... They are sold out. Everywhere. Period. Na-da. No more.

It makes me want to cry...

I'll keep dreaming

LADIES I HAVE JUST BEEN INFORMED BY A LOVELY READER THAT THESE BABIES ARE STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU TROLL EBAY! :)

MBFWA - MICHAEL LO SORDO

(source: vogue)

The next designer that I have currently fallen in love with over the fashion week period is Michael Lo Sordo. He has recently sprung up and has certainly got everyone talking with his digital prints and very chic designs. To me his style is a combination of Ellery, Manning Cartell and a bit of Alexander Wang. Everything he has created for next Spring/Summer I would wear casually or dressed up at night. His clothing is extremely wearable and definitely accentuates the feminine body. Something I've always believed is that men seem to be have a better grasp of the feminine body and can embrace it better than female designers (only in some cases). We, women can definitely design wonderful pieces but men can eliminate all distractions and just design what THEY believe is beautiful for us. This is just my opinion anyways.

The last design is divine isn't it? It's my favourite :) Which is your fvourite?

I hope you enjoy his designs as much as I do and keep an eye out for him. He will be big.

MBFWA - ZIMMERMAN

(source: vogue)

As promised here are photos of the Zimmerman show from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I know it's about two months late but I loved what the ladies at Zimmerman made that I just can't keep it to myself.

This collection has to be one of my favourites by Zimmerman because of all the fluid pieces they've created with beautiful digital prints combined with fresh pastel colours. It makes me feel so cheerful and so very very happy. Not only has Zimmerman hit the trend mark with peplum tops and knicker shorts but they've managed to put their own little twist to each piece with a bit of origami structures and lace everywhere even if it isn't the traditional lace but rather more holey.

My favourite piece of the collection is the last picture of the dress with ink stains. The print and colour reminds me of cherry blossoms in spring and the length is so sophisticated yet very modern. I absolutely adore it.

One last designer before I go back to my outfit posts which is MICHAEL LO SORDO. I think I'm in love haha!

O U T F I T

I haven't been posting for the past few days unfortunately due to a hectic schedule of uni and volunteering at fashion week and a round of assignments. It's been quite the crazy few days so I do apologise for my absence! Anyways this was my absolute favourite outfit for the past summer because it was easy, breezy and very very sweet. I got a little bit of inspiration from the lovely lady, Olivia, who owns the blog lust for life. Her style is a combination of boho and californian swag, it's actually incredibly hard to nail. Somehow Olivia makes it look so effortless like she spent about 2 minutes throwing it on in the morning. Wish I had that kind of swagger.

(Pink Kimono - Cooper St, Lace Crop Top - August Street, Suede Shorts - Vintage, Fur Clutch - Etsy, Suede Boots - Betts, Necklace & Sunnies - Sportsgirl)

Also over the past 6 months, I've discovered etsy. It is now my best friend. You can literally find on
trend pieces for a fraction of the price and all are hand made one off pieces, which makes each item you buy just that much more special. Screw the big department stores, I say ETSY ALL THE WAY! But some of you probably already knew that. I purchase that lovely faux fur clutch and vintage suede shorts. They were cheap and possibly my best finds over the past summer/spring.

Anyways in the next week once my volunteering is over, I'll be posting up photos of Sydney's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Excited? There's lots to show you!

I'll be showing you bits of pieces of street style and runway shows from other sources. This is due to the fact that the volunteers aren't allowed to take photos. BUT I do have one momentus accomplishment. I met Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast. The one and only Rumi Neely. I nearly died. Literally. Short of breath, red cheeks, sweating and stuttering. You would've thought I was about to have a heart attack. Fangirled to the max.
Until next time :)

p.s. I won't be bothering with super long titles anymore. They will simply be outfits, inspirations, DIYs, other bits and pieces. Simple, clean and straightforward titles! Let me know if you guys like it better!

C O A C H E L L A.

(Source: Tumblr, lustforlife, Natalieoffduty)

So the festivities have started in the US and soon it will hit here down under. However, when I turned up at Future... it was a little different to the fashion you see at Coachella. You see a lot more flesh at Sydney festivals... on girls and guys. The common trend is no shirt and the shortest shorts you can find. I have photographic evidence of this fashion no no.

However, Chanel Iman seems to look so effortlessly hot and smokin without looking cheap like some girls I saw at Future... hmmm. Time to rethink your fashion ladies. The fashion at Coachella could teach you a thing or two. If you want to show more skin take Rihanna's style or Chanel's as a good example. Smokin in a classy way.

Here are the photos I promised too!

I apologise for the lack of clarity we forgot to bring a decent camera and this is what a phone camera does :(. And for all your amusement I have included extremely shocking photos of myself ha! You will also get to see my beautiful boyfriend and me dancing with free glow sticks. YAY for free stuff!

On the other hand, music festivals really is about the music and hopefully this year at Stereosonic I will get to witness the best line up yet with some good company (and a little booze hehe). In the mean time, I'll just dream of the day I get to physically attend Coachella and soak in the Californian sun.

Time for beddy bye time and to dream of the absent sun in the sky.

love
Ann
